Safety checks

  • Gloves, protective glasses and ear plugs are to be worn throughout this operation.

  • Keep hands and clothing away from moving parts at all times.

  • Ensure the tool is secure before operating
  • No oil leaks -  Clean up oil spillages using sawdust.

  • No air leaks.
  • Unauthorized personnel are NOT allowed to use machine.
  • Make sure that all lights are working the operational area.

START UP

Turn button clock-wise to switch on machine

 Make sure the key is on

 Press the start button.

LOADING PART INTO THE PRESS

 Run first off from HUR4.

The first rod, insert the straight part into the left hand side into the press.

 The second rod, insert the hooked part to the right hand side into the press.

 Make sure that the two rods are properly secured - They are sitting into the grooves and in the correct position

 

*N.B it is crutial to place the part correctly in the grooves and correct position in order to be notched correctly.

Once rods are well secured press simultaneously the two-handed black buttons to activate the press machine.

Make “FIRST-OFF” sample. 

Open B.I.S Card sign on and and conduct required inspection on the system.

Inspection and checking of part after notching

 

 Check for burrs using Gauge no.SPRG/TOYO/0064, Gauge must fit through easily. Check 1 part every every hour.

QUALITY INSPECTION

  • The Last-off from the previous batch is to be compared to the current batch First-off. Last-off is to be placed in the production run.
  • Complete a First-off before comencing with production, record on system Inspection. no. 1041
  • First-off sample to be tagged and kept at work station.

 

  • Conduct in-process inspections check 1 part every hour and record on system Inspection no. 6089

 

  • At the end of the batch, last part is to be tagged and kept at the work station . First-off is to be placed in the production batch.
  • Conduct a last-off and record on inspection no. 12399

REJECTS

  • All reject parts are to be placed immediatley in the red reject bins provided.
  • All rejects should be logged on the system hourly. Reject Analysis No. 7

Scrap / Reject bins are to be emptied at the end of end job or at the end of shift if the job is running at the end of shift

PERFORMANCE TARGETS

Once the job has been logged on the system, you will be able to see the production figures and targets including

  • The Total Qty made against the job
  • The quantity prodcued on the shift (day),
  • The Std Time and the number of Parts required to be made per hour.

The picture to the left provides and example.

Production figures are to be logged on the system every hour.
